Refunds & cancellations

When you can cancel, how returns work, and when your money comes back.

Effective 26 September 2026 · Just InstaStack Technology Private Limited

01Cancelling an order

Until the shop starts packing, you can cancel from the order page — if the shop lets its items be cancelled (it decides per item, and the order page shows the Cancel button only when you can). The app shows exactly what comes back before you confirm.

If the shop is taking too long, or the shop cancels, or the order cannot be delivered, you get everything back — including any payment fee.

If you cancel because you changed your mind (ordered by mistake, changing the address), you get the order amount back. The payment fee comes back too for up to two such cancels in 30 days; after that it is kept, and the app says so before you confirm. If the shop's terms carry a cancellation charge, it is shown there as well.

Once the shop has packed the order it cannot be cancelled; use a return instead, where the item allows it.

02Returns and replacements

An item can be returned only if the shop marks it returnable, and only within the return window shown on the item and your order (it differs by shop and product — food usually cannot be returned).

From the order page, pick the items, say what went wrong, add a photo, and choose money back or a replacement where the shop offers one. The shop approves or turns it down with a reason; a delivery partner picks the item up. You can withdraw a return until it is picked up.

03How you get money back

Refunds go back to the way you paid. We send the refund as soon as the shop confirms it — for a return, once the item is picked up or the shop agrees. Banks usually show it within 5–7 working days; UPI is often sooner. You can follow every refund under Account → Refunds.

If you paid cash on delivery, the shop pays you back directly; the app shows the amount. If it does not arrive, raise a complaint.

04Something wrong?

A refund late, short, or refused? Raise a complaint from the order — see Complaints.
